Become a partner of the LAZ

Tackling the challenges of our time together? Then join us!

  • YOUR production machines at LAZ: Become part of an environment in which thousands of components and systems are manufactured every year. Learn from the users for the development of your next but one product generation!
  • Impact on the employees of tomorrow: Leave a lasting impression on 1,000 students and hundreds of pupils per semester by sponsoring infrastructure, personnel and projects.
  • Cross-disciplinary innovation through open data ecosystems: Contribute your experience and data to the emerging data pool on the entire process chain of creating technical products at the LAZ. The data pool will be made accessible for research, teaching and innovation.
  • Improvers instead of know-it-alls: Enable bright young minds to become fit for current and future social challenges. Share your experience and know-how by contributing to teaching and organizing events.

Our mission

Does this problem sound familiar to you? Groups of people work together, but various prejudices between the educational groups prevent real teams from forming. In order to take this step towards a really good team, in which everyone contributes to success in their own role, these prejudices need to be broken down. This is exactly where our pilot project comes in: Breaking down barriers!

We break down prejudices at an early stage of studies and training. For the first time, teams of students and trainees were able to develop mechatronic products together - each in their own role, in their own place and with their own responsibilities, but together as a team.

Here you can see what they learned about each other, themselves and about mechatronic product development as a team.

With the LAZ - Learning and Application Center for Mechatronics, we want to make this experience available to as many young people as possible from 2025.
